Bobber Rise
A portrait fishing game where you tap when the bobber dips, hold to reel and let go to ease off. Keep the tension needle inside a drifting safe band to land each fish, and every catch fills your album. Play right in your browser. (Korean title: 찌올림)
Key Features
- Hold to reel, release to ease: Tap once to stop the cast meter, tap again when the bobber dips to hook, then hold to reel and release to give line. If the tension needle leaves the drifting safe band, the line snaps or goes slack.
- 5 ways a fish pulls: Every fish has a fixed pull pattern and shows it in the water and in its body before it pulls. You learn one new pattern per pond.
- 6 ponds, 180 fish: From the Morning Pond to the southern sea islands, 6 waters hold 30 species each. Each catch earns size stars toward the album, which holds 540 stars in all.
- Daily Pond: Everyone gets the same 8 casts on the same date, and your result copies as one short line to share. No server and no sign-up.
- 5 rod upgrades: Coins come only from catching fish. There is no idle income, no energy and no purchases, and ads are an optional bonus only.
How to Use
- Tap to throw when the cast meter is in the gold zone.
- Tap right away when the bobber dips to set the hook.
- Hold the screen to reel and release to ease off. Keep the tension needle inside the safe band.
- Land the fish and it is recorded in your album. On a computer, use the mouse or the Space key.
How It Works
The rules and physics are code kept apart from the screen, so the same date gives everyone the same casts. Our Js drew all 180 fish, the pond scenes, the screens and the icon in code; no art was made with generative AI. Sound effects are synthesised in code, and the ambience and music are edited CC0 and CC BY recordings. AI tools were used during development. Music: "Clear Waters" by Kevin MacLeod (incompetech.com), licensed under CC BY 4.0. Stream ambience: "Stream Sounds" by kurt, licensed under CC BY 3.0. Both were shortened and looped.
