Dokkaebi Tavern
An idle game about a little roadside tavern on a night road where Korean yokai pass by. Cook rice tea and scallion pancakes, hire helpers so it keeps earning while you are away, and serve dokkaebi, nine-tailed foxes and haetae at night.
Key Features
- New sound and music: Coin and order sound effects were reworked and each scene now has its own music. Music and sound effects can be switched on and off separately in settings.
- Night yokai guests and tap combos: At night, guests from old tales such as a little dokkaebi, a nine-tailed fox and a haetae arrive with orders. Serve them back to back to build a combo for more coins; each regular unlocks a short story.
- Daytime guests: Guests also drop by during the day, so the tavern feels busy around the clock. Night guests bring orders to serve.
- First move: +30% income, a different season per town: Moving your tavern builds fame so the next one grows faster. Your first move adds +30% income, and each town has its own season, from the ferry landing through the market town, the mountain pass and Hanyang to the Dokkaebi Market.
- The glutton tapping contest: Opens after your first move. Fill the bowls a hungry glutton yokai can eat within 30 seconds to win. Every tap ladles out food, and your helpers pitch in.
How to Use
- Tap to cook rice tea, rice balls and scallion pancakes, and add more stalls.
- Hire helpers and the tavern keeps running while you are away; come back to collect the coins (up to 4 hours).
- Serve night guests back to back to build combos.
- When income has grown enough, move your tavern on to the next town.
How It Works
The J team designed it for short sessions where something new opens each time you return. Game rules are written separately from the screen and checked with automated tests and simulations. Some artwork was created with generative AI (Gemini) and then edited.
Where to Access
Play it on Google Play or in a web browser on Playgama, in 12 languages including Korean, English, Japanese and Spanish.
